CONNY PARSONS: RECENT WORK

Conny Parsons creates images taken from reality, however they are not literal responses to what she sees.  In this series of large oil paintings, she placed objects that surrounded or intrigued her into incongruent or complementary surroundings.  The objects led her to place them in certain environments.  Landscapes or atmosphere also brought forth the objects used.  As the work progressed, this inside and outside placement created a new perspective and a narrative between the innate objects and where they were staged.
