This body of work represents my interest in the physicality of paint and the activity of mark making. The effects of gesture, accretion and excavation as well as the discovery of serendipity, contest, and conundrum are engaging aspects of the process that I seek.

Currently, I am most influenced by abstract expressionism and neo-expressionism and admire deeply the work of painters such as Willem DeKooning, Philip Guston, and Joan Mitchell as well as contemporary greats such as Cecily Brown, Anselm Kiefer, and Neo Rauch.
